On Hipsters

I found this while wandering the net. I think it does an excellent job of summing up hipsters:

“A counter-culture in a very fundamental way, that doesn’t really get anything done. They’re just against everything that can be put under the label of culture. Like if something has a past it’s bullshit but if it’s from the past it’s OK and if something is pre-established it’s bullshit but if it’s established by someone you like it’s OK. It’s re-affirming the idea of the double standard as the only standard. They basically stand for nothing because nothing is the only thing that anyone has never done.”

New Site

So I finally moved to a new hosting service (linode.com).  I have also decided to ditch wiki-blog for WordPress.  I liked the idea of wiki-blog but in practice it was a bit confusing to read and hard to update.  I’m bad at updates as it is so I think the lowest possible barrier to entry is probably the best route.  Hopefully I’ll have some time to pull the good stuff from the old site onto here.
